2024 Annual Report
On behalf of Planting Seeds, I want to thank you for your support these past seven years, share how God has changed lives through this ministry, and show the impact your giving has made in our community. In 2020, Planting Seeds became a 501(c)(3) with the mission of delivering gently-used, donated household items as a vehicle to share the gospel of Jesus with those in our community. We didn’t realize how God could take our efforts to change peoples’ lives, but we soon began seeing souls saved and people baptized. We are on the right track and “with God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26). Planting Seeds has now reached over 1270 families - that’s over 4206 people! Most importantly, we remain committed to our mission of sharing God’s word by providing encouragement to others to seek Jesus and provide Bibles to each and every family.
In 2024 alone we delivered 6223 household items and over 300 Bibles to 230 families (468 children). Specifically, families received 378 beds, 261 dressers, 92 couches, 559 dining chairs, and 415 lamps! Through these donations, Planting Seeds has connected families and individuals across the Miami Valley. With the tremendous support of our volunteers, community partners, and donors, Planting Seeds blessed these families with thousands of household items and shared the word of God with many people in desperate need of Him. Below are some remarkable numbers and highlights of the life-changing impact your donations have made in the lives of families touched by Planting Seeds over the past seven years:
We delivered over 23,429 household items, including 1,654 beds, 380 couches, and 2202 kitchen chairs.
Those household items would add up to over $4,026,000 if we had to purchase them!
Through generous donations from our partners, Secret Smiles and Morris Furniture, we have been able to deliver 735 brand new beds.
Without your support, our mission would not be possible. We ask that you continue to donate your gently-used household items. We also ask that you consider making a financial contribution to support the mission of Planting Seeds. Your financial support helps our organization acquire new pillows, beds, appliances, and other items for families in need; monetary donations also help defer expenses related to fuel costs for the nearly 800 pickups and deliveries we make each year. Our organization is staffed solely by volunteers, therefore every penny of financial contributions goes directly to our mission.
